One of the things that makes registering daylilies fun is
coming up with the names. There are many crazy and
unusual names for the different flowers that speaks
something not just about the flower itself but about the
hybridizer. The name for this flower comes not so much
from the flower but from the plant's other attributes.
It may not be the prettiest of flowers, but the scape (flower
stalk) can get up to 50 inches tall with 7-way branching for
a potential bud count of 50 buds per scape! With stats like
that, I had to register it and use it in other hybridizations!
