ROSS A. FILLMORE Daylily Originals
|
My grandmother's maiden name. Our branch of the Sorensens are of Danish
descent, and they came from Schleswig-Holtstein to the United States in the late
1800's. They settled in Port Clinton, Ohio. My great grandfather eventually
moved to Iowa where he met my great grandmother and started a family before
moving back to Ohio. He was known around town as the Great Dane because I
guess he was kind of tall. This flower has a good strong stature, and as you can
see, it is quite yellow! Scandinavian blonde does run in our family!
